Welcome to the first edition of the Milldale Messenger 2011!!!
The Milldale Messenger is a weekly newsletter that we post to our website every Friday! Some Fridays the Messenger is written your camper’s bunk counselor, or Unit Leader, or even by the camper’s themselves! This Friday’s Milldale Messenger is brought to you by Camp Director Dori!
Camp Milldale had a wonderful and exciting first week of camp! We were all “seeing red” on Tuesday. Our first Wacky Lunch Wednesday was wacky good fun! Our Mystery lunch items were KIWI, CREAM CHEESE, & APPLE JUICE! If your campers had any of these items in their lunch, they got a prize! Superhero day brought out heroes of all kinds! Batman’s, Superman’s, Spiderman’s, Wonder Woman’s, Power Rangers – even Super Grover and a favorite among the staff…an ELVIS!!!
The Specialists at camp really made this week great. In keeping with the theme of friendship, campers made Muddy BUDDIES. Click here for the recipe! They learned new songs in music, took a fun fitness test in our brand-new-to-camp activity, FITNESS! They learned all about Israel’s geography in Tarbut. Animal improvisations were roarin’ good fun in Drama and team building games on the ropes course brought our bunks closer together! This just scratched the surface of all the fun things our campers do.
